Blizzard (AKA Blizzy, AKA Blizzard the boxer) came to us as a 6 week old puppy from a humane case. Immediately we were in love. Blizzard chose her own name by walking a circle of post-it notes with different names on them and picking up the one she wanted to be. She was so smart even from day one. Blizzard was an amazing dog. Always full of love and never was there an angry hair on her body. She loved everyone she met and likewise they loved her back. Blizzard spent most days lounging around the house with her tiny dog pals but would be right at the door when someone arrived. Blizzard especially loved to get visits from her human’s friends. She sure loved attention. Blizzard had her own instagram account where lots of these friends were able to watch her grow through the years and follow her on her adventures. The summer time was her favorite where she could bask in the sun all day with one of her most favorite humans and take trips halfway through some of those days to McDonald’s to get her much appreciated CHEESEBURGER. She really enjoyed hanging with the cats in the yard and walking around with another one of her favorite humans, sometimes monitoring his projects and feeding the chickens was her favorite fun time! Blizzard loved taking drives in the truck. Regardless of how many people were getting in, she always knew that the front passenger seat was reserved for her. Blizzard even had her own chair at the dining room table where she sat during dinners and watched the family play games. She loved to be with the family. Blizzard could always tell when “her boys” were on their way home even before they reached the drive she would begin to get excited. She loved to see “her boys” and always gave a good butt wiggle and that famous boxer lean to show it. Blizzard loved to curl up at night in bed and fall asleep with her human’s arm wrapped around her. She was so much more than a dog. Blizzard was a best friend, a nurturer, a therapist, a protector, and most of all a huge part of the family. Blizzard will be greatly missed by her family and friends as she truly grabbed the hearts of so many.
